I don't know that I want to go thru with this, but it seems it is my only hope other then waiting... Doc is going to do one of three things. First one is general cleanup of the shoulder again, recovery, six weeks light duty. Second one is if the cartilidge is damaged, then he will go in a remove some bone and install a TI plate. Six weeks, NO STRESS on arm at all, then return to light duty, gradually working up to normal. This one requires an over night stay in the hospital. Third one is a new technique where if the cartildge is good they drill up into the area of dead bone from underneath, breaking thru the encapsulated area to try and speed healing and bone growth. This preserves the cartilidge of the joint. This is what he will likely do if the cartilidge is good and strong with no tears. Same day surgery, light duty for six weeks. I'm not real wild about any of this, but I've been trying to extend my percocet use down to the last minute, partial tabs, waiting for shills from withdrawel. It's not fun. Not only do I have to contend with withdrawel, but it still hurts like a MF... Got to try this surgery... Sorry to bother everyone, but enough people have expressed concern, so I thought I send out an update. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
