Yeah, I know how you feel, I hate not having access to a brake lathe here in town anymore. Everytime I try to get a local to do a resurface, they either rough cut it with chatter marks, or call me, or worse yet wait for me to pick it up to tell me it's too thin to turn. Thursday we got a call that our 137K mile Altima needed pads and the rotors resurfaced. Knowing the rotors had warped some and they have about 100K on them I just told the shop no thanks and picked it up. Did new rotors and bendix ceramic low dust, pads with a lifetime one replacement warranty for $10 less then the shop quoted to resurface and install, " Basic, replacement, ceramics will cost more" pads. I told my wife if we agreed to the shop doing it I figure in an hour, two at the most they would have called to say we needed new rotors as one had some fairly large pits in the back side for some reason. It's all good now. I hope you drums turn out good! It all depends on the shop. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Bruce Griffis <bruce.griffis@xxxxxxxxx> > Got all the parts in to rebuild the rear brakes.
