I'd try an early 60s Ford kit. I bugged Grant about this years ago. Their best suggestion was to cut the spokes form the old wheel and use the hub as the adapter, using the puller bolt holes to fasten the wheel on. If the spokes are ground down the cover goes over it and no one ever know. Of course the early Rambler wheel doesn't have puller holes, but I think there's enough surface to drill and tap holes. Now you just need to find some store that will let you try one before buying, or won't frown on 2-3 returns until you get the right one! There should be plenty custom shops who install steering wheels in your neck of the woods, I'd try one of them. If they open an adapter and it doesn't fit they'll just use it on another customer's car. Of course they might want to just charge you to install yours then not tell you which adapter they used... -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
