[Amc-list] 258 chain & cover



Ed states he's going thru covers as well - 
the early 4.0 has a 'cam walk' adjustment
which should be made to work on the 258 as
this is my guesstimate as to chain / cam cover
premature wear.

I suggest using a 4.0L timing chain instead.

The folks below are asking bout some oil slinger. I had a oil slinger once, it was a Hornet that had a leaky oil pan gasket, sort of like the Hornet Exxon Valdez. Anyways, if anyone can help these folks quit going thru timing chaing covers they would appreciate it, thanks in advance to all who may reply, be sure to copy your reply directly to them also.
