I recently had to replace the cam on my 1979 Dodge pickup. The "Help" brand replacement had contacts that were too long; I had to cut them down with a Dremel tool to match the originals. It seemed that there was also too much pressure on the switch contacts, so I had to take it apart a couple weeks later, bend the cam wires a bit flatter, and repair where one had dug into the switch base (melted some plastic from the old cam into the base where the cam wire had dug in). Works great now. These parts seem to be no longer available from Mopar. I found an outfit called Shee-Mar in Colorado that lists quite a few turn signal switches. This one is supposed to fit 1964-72 Mopar products without tilt, and without four-way flasher or cornering lights. http://www.shee-mar.com/graphics/sm106.html Their online ordering is down, but their contact information is at http://www.shee-mar.com/contact.html --Glen At 02:38 PM 12/28/2007, you wrote: >I'm not having much luck with the Mopar guys so, I figured I'd ask >you guys.... > > >Dose anyone have an idea where I can get the COMPLETE turn-signal >switch assembly for a 1967 Chrysler Newport (no tilt, no adjustment) >stering wheel? > > >I bought a replacement cam fro Rock Auto but, it won't work. > > >_______________________________________________ >Amc-list mailing list >Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx >http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
