Oh I dunno Jim, I've got '79 AMC discs in the front of my 63 Classic, and with a drum brake master cylinder, no less! It's a bit stiff, it alarms first time drivers, but pedal pressure isn't bad even with this worse-case setup (I didn't move the pivot point for the pushrod either; I'm not even sure if 63 has two holes).
