I've always thought that while that would be an excellent fix. I doubt it will be cost effective?
Is there a chance the rods can be bushed then offset bored to lengthen them?
I'm guessing that would be pointless too as then you have to float the pins meaning you need new pistons anyway.

Let me know if you come up with a source for those +.040" rods, I'm in for a set!
