The pressures may be differnet, but it is unlikely they are so far off that it will casue any problems with longevity.
I use the Wrangler pressure valve in my 4.0L mounted pump. It is set at about 800psi, compared to about either 900 or 1100psi for the XJ pumps. I can't remember exactly where the eaton pump sits. I believe it is up there in the higher range. You can't get that spiffy one finger steering without pressure!
 Lowering pressure on the Saginaw pumps is way to easy, so that's realy not much of an issue. Before I swapped in my 4.0L I have droppped the pressure on my 69 six clinder saginaw pump to almost nil. It helped it feel like I had some road feel to it.
   As I've done it before I will tell the story again, for old times sake!, Grab a pillow and gather around the fire!
Take the high presure line off the saginaw pump. Remove the big nut it threads into. Remove the spring and valve assembly. Take the valve ass and look at it. On one end you will see a nut, open ended with a screen. The tricky part is holding the valve, but you can achieve it by clamping it in a vice on an unmachined area. Once you get it clamped, remove that screened nut. Under it you will find a washer. Now to drop the pressure, go out in your junk pile find another valve and take it apart. Add the second washer to the first. That drops the pressure, less pressure, more washers. I don't have or know if there is a formula. Do it by feel. Too little pressure won't do any harm in my experience. It would realy take zero fluid to kill the box. Too much pressure is the true enemy.
   This trick will allow you to add a little road feel to the early cars. In some of the one finger steer cars any help is an imrovement.
  As far as I know this will also be possible on P/S pumps up thru and including the newer models. I think the valves stayed the same design for a very long time.
