Being a die hard AMC'er since I bought my first Rambler American and new car at the age of 19 in 1965 I have been a dedicated AMC'er since. In fact I recently received an E-Mail and a phone call from a Navy squadron member from my military days in the late 60's from VAW-12--- 122 who when he saw my E-Mail addy knew it was me after all these years on the military site. You turbo/propane/green/enhathol guys give me an insight into what AMC might have been in 2007-8. But I still get around 25 mpg with a slightly modified 74 258 1bbl six in my newest 74 258 Hornet Hatchback which is as good or not better than most new cars and I can blow off most "Ricer's" from traffic light to traffic light. I still go by the old simple saying"Keep It Simple Stupid" it has worked for me for over 40 years. Oh I think I need to check the points on my orange Hornet. I hate modern and change. That's why I still have the same 74 Hornet I bought new and the same wife I married 38 years ago. The new Hornet I bought 4 years ago got a Delco alt swap in place of the Motorola CRAP. My one change to being modern. "Doc" -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
