Oh yeah, I can believe it! Electric cars are magnets for the tinfoil-hat 
crowd, along with suppressed 80mpg carburetors, magnetic perpetual motion, 
drug-dispensing jet contrails, UFOs at Area 51, ... it's all Art Bell 
territory.
