Tom, You have to have a "walking foot" machine. Mine is a Pfaff. The walking foot gives you even spacing between stitches which makes for a neat look. The bead foot was the key to a neat job. I was considering giving up and getting the seats done before I got the right foot. The other thing that made a difference was adding 1/4 inch of fabric backed foam to the leather. The factory covers don't have that and you need to be even better at sewing. The added foam makes the leather seem softer and takes out some of the small wrinkles from an inexperienced seamster (male of seamstress).
