One thing Mark and I both neglected to mention -- you'll need to swap the radiator brackets side to side to move the radiator forward an inch or two and use a 1965 American or 71-75 CJ-5 (NOT CJ-7!!) Jeep water pump and pulley. Those are shorter than later models, though I bet the Wrangler 4.0L pump is probably close to the same length. there is some debate over that pump bolting up to pre 75 engines though -- I don't think it will. -------------------- Date: Mon, 12 Nov 2007 03:51:07 +0000 From: Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx You can use the engine, trans etc; including the front crossmember to mount the 258 if the 65 does not have a stock 232. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
