I don't think we're "straining" the market when only 14% of corn is converted to ethanol at present. I do agree with your sentiments overall, but I'm still a capitalist and I have to point out that ADM is a public company and you and your neighbors are all free to buy stock. As we convert our fuel sources away from petroleum gradually there will be winners and losers. I personally think that switch grass or other forms of cellulose will probably become the major carbon source for liquid fuel in the future. And maybe soybeans will become a source for biodiesel. It's gonna take awhile and we are all gonna be hostage to those guys that wear rags on their heads for quite awhile until we make the change.
