Hey Jim I'm currently changing the old bendix front disk brakes to the later single piston ones on my '68 Rebel SST convertible. I have had a problem with the flexible brake lines in that they foul the upright part of the trunnion (it's been mentioned on the list, with a very comprehensive reply from Frank S - for which I was most grateful. From what I've learnt about the other setups, I understood that your setup should be a straight bolt-on and so I think you should be able to get the correct brake hoses to just bolt right on - it sounds like you have the wrong ones. Also, on the diagram I have, the hose exits pointing upwards, not down towards the road - do you maybe need to swap the caplier sides over? BTW - Doug at APD has been a star on my issue, he's found some lines which should fit and is exchanging them for me. Maybe you could give him a call and see if he can hook you up with what you need?
