For the folks that don't know transmissionese 30RH is 904 with hydraulic control and 30RE is electronic valvebody. <G> Speaking of trans, the '68 Travelall sitting in my driveway has a 241 IH (may get a 4.0L swap soon) with a 4 speed swapped in (was 3 speed, but it was an OR dept of highways crew transporter that didn't like the unreliability of the 3 speed suddenly dropping out or jamming between gears) I think T86? Tcase is a divorced 202 and we may be able to keep that with a 2wd 5 speed on a 4.0L for reliability and ease of swap. Truck doesn't like going over 50 mph (has the power but not RPMs as the 241 has a 3500 rpm redline) Jim Blair, Lynnwood, WA '87 Comanche, '83 Jeep J10, '84 Jeep J10 From: adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Sandwich Maker) Subject: Re: [Amc-list] 2.5L Question To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx Message-ID: <200710272016.l9RKGsn12031@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> " From: Jim Blair <carnuck@xxxxxxxxxxx> " " If you can find an '89 up XJ or MJ, they came with AW4 and 4 cyl too. only to about '93; then they went back to the 30rh/30re. cheap ****ers. ________________________________________________________________________ Andrew Hay the genius nature internet rambler is to see what all have seen adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and think what none thought _________________________________________________________________ Boo!
