I don't have a link, but it's the same ford/chevy/amc/pierce arrow, so
google is your friend.
But keep in mind, running 60 amps through 30 amps of wiring is asking for a
melted harness. If you leave the lights on, for example, and run the
battery down, get a jump, then fast-idle to charge the battery, ordinary
enough, it'll get hotter'n'hell in there!
Alts are short and fat, gens skinny and long but I imagine by fiddling fan
belts and brackets you can fit 'em pretty much anywhere.
Cost alone may not be the best reason to do it. There's nickel and dime
costs don't forget. A month or year later, will the $50 you saved matter?
The real question is, is it what you want? And do the problems solved
outweigh the problems caused? If you have a huge stereo, etc, that's a
factor too.
