[Amc-list] M-34 TRANSMISSION and a THM 125 the same?

 I was told that an M34 TRANSMISSION and a  THM 125 transmission are the same and either would work in my "64 Classic with a 232 engine? 
 Is this true? If so, what did the THM-125 transmission come in?
