The only real thing I have against the 700R-4L60-I forget its current tag-series trans is also a benefit to many.
It runs a 3.?-1 first gear. Great for getting things moving. It would be ideal to get a turbo up onto boost... What I don't like about it is the gear spread into second is little too much for my taste. Too me it seems to put the smaller engines a little outside their power band. I sxpect it is an illusion, but I don't like it.
I would expect it to be an awesome second gear experience with a built turbo on boost! Should really put you back into your seat!
Lots of parts out there too.
I expect an adapter for the early six to be a one off item and not an off the shelf buy.
I expect it could be done, I don't know if I would go to the effort although I think there would be a small market for one.
Getting a flexplate would likely be the biggest issue as the aluminum Warner uses the small flex and the ring gear is on the convertor.
Anyone know of a ture rign gear equiped flexplate that bolts to the early six?
It's nuetral balance so I guess one could be made fairly simply if one had the tools/time.
