I saved one of the front shocks, and finally scraped off the crud and sanded it down until I could read all of the numbers. I don't know, but suspect, that it's the original shock, the car had 69,000 miles on the odometer. I've never seen a reference to this shock's part number anywhere. Not that it matters, as it's completely unavailable anywhere as far as I can tell. (low on the bottom shock tube, same location as modern shocks) 78028 86415 made in patent USA X pending MOOG TITAN --- 29 --- Where the X is was a large arrow showing installation direction (stud up). _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
