If it works for you. It'll last till the shocks wear out and if it can't be undone you can cut the holes in the floor then! Probably what I should have done, but I don't have an air chisel, hate the noise! I hope to keep this one for a very long time, though rust is starting to be an issue :[ Wife is starting to talk new car and at this time I expect to trade the Dakota and keep the Cherokee. It has less miles, better mpg and sounds really good too! I put a magnaflow cat on it and Dynomax cat back exhaust. It sounds sweet! Just the right tone for an old guy who doesn't like an obnoxious six droning on! Cheap too! $135 for the cat back from Summitt got me $50 summit bucs. Cat was $110 for a bolt on and less the $50 made it $60! $195 for the whole deal and I put it all on in less then two hours. Nice stainless steel tip too. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 " I was different before people dared to be different" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Graham, George W (GE Infra, Energy)" <george.graham@xxxxxx> > Well, I attacked it last night, SNIP I'm a happy camper!! > > George G. > AMC of Houston > > -----Original Message----- > From: Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Wednesday, September 19, 2007 8:54 AM > To: AMC/Rambler owners, drivers and fans. > Subject: Re: [Amc-list] Jeep XJ Rear Shock Mount Question > > Two tips, > Towel or large rag to lay on your belly, metal chips can get hot! > Safety goggles!
