Sounds like a loose ground.
Unfortunately I don't know how it is done in the [is it an Eagle you drive?]..
I'd start by tightening all mounting bolts under that dash and looking for loose grounds. I examine all under dash connectors especially the ignition switch and fusebox while under the dash.
