I kept the front rotors off the 97 Cherokee for the same purpose... I think the offset on the 97 XJ is too deep as they are front vented rotors, but someday when I get time I'm going to try them out for fit. The ones have are useable, just getting down close to minimum so I pulled them. I can turn them and use them if they work. I'm thinking they will over hang the axle tube and make a bolt on caliper mount impossible. I could use some clamp on stock car mounts though. The nice thing would be having the caliper sit back far enough to make wheel fitment not and issue. I might try them on the 9" once I get axles, just to see what they look like... I missed a pair of stockcar caliper mounts for $10 at Butler this year! The guy in front of me snatched them up before I could get to them! -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 " I was different before people dared to be different" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: d stohler <das24rules@xxxxxxxxx> > ok, ok, ok.. i will have to one of these days tear the > rear rotors off my 97 mountaineer and see how well > they fit on the ramblers. i have a 62 classic with the > 6cyl rear.
