I'm stumped. I am trying to put the delco single wire alternator in my 70 360 V8. I removed the metal off of the large mounting tang on the delco alternator and it slips into the top bracket hole without a problem. At the bottom of the bracket I started filing away at the adjusting slot to get enough clearance for the alternator bolt, but just realized that I won't be able to really adjust the alternator position because it will hit the oil filter. The alternator bracket is one piece and there does not appear to be any simple way to adjust it. Anybody have any suggestions? I am ready to get another motorola and forget about the delco swap....... John 70 Ambassador SST -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
