He was my ex-wife's neighbor in BC. (He'd love the '82 Spirit hatchback I have now. Tempted to dig a crossbar out of the locak junkyard and install the '77 AMX 304 into it, but I already have a good 4.2L awaiting the EFI and 2wd AW4 I got for it) From: James Shadwick <idahoAMX@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [Amc-list] Thoughts on the Kammback that's on Ebay right now? Jim S Nampa, ID ===.=== Putting a V8 into an Eagle requires that the front diff be a non ' shift on the fly ' version > from a 1980 Eagle. Eagles got the 'shift on the fly' version in 1981 - it has a 'bump' on the housing that will hit the pan rail of the engine block - so you'll want a Full Time 4wd front diff. I'd then get a set of the Bulltear.com 6 to V8 swap mounts to work with. Check the 'Flying with V8 Eagles' article for the other parts required - like the passanger side 'Log' style exhaust header from a V8 Grand Wagoneer. -- =Bt= milnersXcoupe -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
