Bryan, you have a problem! The Jeep four uses the Chevy small V-6 bell housing bolt pattern. 83 and earlier GM 2.5L fours in Jeeps and AMCs use the SBC pattern. But I see you have the transmission -- and I assume transfer case. You will have to look close at the mounts and have the front drive shaft lengthened and the rear one shortened by a couple inches. Other than a little mount fabrication you should be good to go. It will definitely be a better power plant! -------- Date: Tue, 14 Aug 2007 12:23:16 -0600 From: Brian Morrow <teamamc@xxxxxxxxxxx> I have a 1995/1998 2.5 litre FI 4cly and 5 speed from a yj jeep. anybody know if this would be an easy swap into a 1981 SX/4. I do realize I would have to find a harness and computor.
