Yeah, it's a little poopy, but enlarging the centers on a lathe is not big deal. Using large centers on small hubs would likely be no problem with the protuding centering type lugstuds. A ring would be cuper easy to have cut to center the drum on too. Moving used hubs around will likely result in failure. For a driver in a dire need of a hub. I'd have it setup for double keyways, clean with brake clean, apply bearing loctite, green I think, and then install. Of course this means removing the axle too. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 " I was different before people dared to be different" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Sandwich Maker) > " From: Tom Jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> > " > " On Thursday 09 August 2007 05:15:41 Sandwich Maker wrote: > " > " > if you've got the amc15 rear, many ~'77-up - concord wagons most > " > commonly - had amc15s with 10" drums. these are the same as the > " > '73-up std v8 brakes and were used up to '89 on cherokees and > " > wranglers. substantially only the backing plates are different for > " > the different axles. > " > " ...drums and HUBS are different between 9" and 10" rear brakes -- I think.
