Joe: I personally have never seen this data, but I believe Mike Gray has the documentation or knows the source of same. This tidbit was cited in the Oct 1987 Collectible Automobile article. I've also heard this factoid from at least one other source which escapes me at the moment. So, we all know about second- or third-hand information. But, it seems to be credible given that AMC dealer lit of the time is fairly clear that the PC option wasn't available on 72 AMXs, only the Javelin SST. Jeff Reeves Auburn GA 94 Cherokee 79 Spirit 72 Javelin SST Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2007 08:48:07 -0700 (PDT) From: JOE FULTON <piper_pa20@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [Amc-list] 72 SST value To: "AMC/Rambler owners, drivers and fans." <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Message-ID: <346563.97750.qm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Jeff, just curious. Where did you get your stats to determine that the car was one of about 12? Some others in the hobby seem to be able to quote "one of ----" type statistics, but I have never heard where the come from. I'm not picking on you at all. I am honestly curious. I may need access to those stats in the future. You never know. There's always that potentially rare car just around the corner.
