remember the -vw- type IV? iirc the 1.7 and 2.0 were known as the
type IV, and the car likewise. this is the motor used in the 914-4.
yes, the chassis were all assembled in the same place. 914-6s got
better suspension hardware as well as better drivetrains. a shame the
torque boxes tend to rot out so fast.
