http://transmissionadapters.com/index.htm Sells the bells and adapters for nailheads. Costs are down from last time I looked. I guess If I was really inclined to go this route I would start by talking the guy and seeing what we could figure out as to the depth of the bellhouings and or adapter plates. It appears that this place could make just about anythign needed to pull of a complete swap. They've already made numerous crank adapters and such. Cost if you run into a need for more than a bellhousing that's allready being made, well, now that's not going to be cheap. I honestly see no point in my pursuing this as I don't feel the need in this particular car. Any long distance cruising can be done in the American. The picture of pulling into an event someday with the American on a trailer being towed by the convertible is a nice thought though! -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 " I was different before people dared to be different" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Jim Blair" <carnuck@xxxxxxxxxxx> > A: Reading this post just reminded me that the Mopar O/D auto trans used > with diesel and V10 has a low round bell, similar (if not the same as) Buick > Nailhead!
