The '70 Jav and AMX did have a radio-delete option.  Rather than just a
"cover" over the holes in the pot-metal radio bezel, the delete option
was the pot-metal bezel that just had no holes in it.   I had one at one
time a few years ago -- I'd bet they are quite hard to find nowadays.

That sounds a little high.  You are probably looking at a number 3 or

I don't know anything about the delete plate for the Javelin radio.  The
factory radio was in a pod attached to the lower dash.  I don't know
what AMC did when a radio was not ordered.
