I hope this goes well....... '' see, ...I left the ball with Flash ;) at least they won't be burning MY house down if this hits some 'bumps' - don't think it will - but My ass is out of Dodge. I'd kicked this topic a few yars ago on Strokers - lukewarm response at the time as most had no idea. - this time was different - people were talking of Superchargers 'n 'Hair Dryers' [cough..] - roller cams / concepts of caught their imagination as it had mine - the 'Discovery' posts were fun, kinda' like getting turned loose in your Grandparents Attic - after some preliminaries 'n calls made, there were some Strokers who jumped in both feet - one bought a roller lifter pair 'n stuffed it into a 4.0 block to check clearence 'n fit > no grinding necessary.... this after alot of talk about hacking out a 'window' in the side of the block........ WoW!.. but the rollers just need a 'custom' link bar - one end 'forked' as to lock into the tab upon drop into lifter bore[s]. The Cam Blank guy was recommended to me by one of Chase's top Techs - had worked at Crane for years - well liked within the Crane community - did many many 'wild' ride roller camm'd motor developments, does all Crane's Custom Roller Cam blank work - great to talk with - has a few 'Freaks' of his own on the street - total enthusiast - which helps greatly when talking with the Strokers crowd........ long distance... I think they've sent him four or five different stock / aftermarket cams to look at - more on the way from the last posts I've read ;) ..... "...And 'loving it' ..." Crane will cut the 'round roller blank' to a grind that fits your particular engines specs - and your trans./ gearing / car weight - so MY first choice to do the work would be Crane....I like Schniders "Iron Cross" - 'Dee' out of the band 'Twisted Sister' likes sporting it on his stage gear ... whatever: " ah Mother Beautifule Rollah..." I seeded the waters over on NAXJA.ORG with the topic not long ago to check for takers - they're there. Should drop bait on www.Inliners.org too........ Can't wait for someone's bux up Dyno numbers getting posted..... a Roller Camm'd AMC Inline 6 - streetable - has been a 'wonder if' for years. Two members were talking 'Blown' and 'Roller'd' so expect an 'Ultimate Creation' in the Werks. We'll have some input on the AW4 capabilities too - before // after someone 'pretzels' their Cherokee Uni-Frame :[ ;) - 'window crakin' Fresh' - . If you're really into the Inline AMC - you won't get another chance until another 6 people antie up, so give it some serious thought....... Me? nah...... Eagle's goin' with the 'Iron Duke' 4 ..... got..'pedigree -- =Bt= milnersXcoupe -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
