I can confirm that the nailhead/adapter ring TH400 was used past 71-72. I have a 73 J-4000 with an AMC 360/TH400/D20 combo that usues the adapter ring. I have a second 73 J-4000 at my other house also with a 360/TH400, but that one is a Quadratrac and I will assume it has a full AMC bell with no adapter ring. Haven't crawled under it yet. -Spro -------------- Original message -------------- From: adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Sandwich Maker) > " From: Frank Swygert > " > " The AMC TH-400 case didn't come along until around 1972 or 73.
