You're connecting it right I hope. When I first put my AMX together I got it wrong. The mistake I made was not reconnecting the yellow coil line to the starter solenoid like the '70 TSM shows. If you leave the ignition feed on the ignition coil the tach gets bypassed. The blue wire to the "+" side of the tach goes to the "I" connection on the solenoid as does the yellow ignition feed in the main harness (that used to go to the "+" side of the ignition coil). The yellow wire to the "-" side of the tach goes to the "+" side of the ignition coil. Also the pink/yellow wire that normally connects to the starter solenoid gets disconnected. -Steve- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Armand Eshleman" <aje1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "AMC/Rambler owners, drivers and fans." <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, July 09, 2007 1:18 PM Subject: [Amc-list] AMC dash repairs, etc > > Good day everyone, > > I hope some on ecan help with this stuff, I'm running out of avenues of > attack to fix it. > > I got a hold of a 70 Javelin/AMX instrument cluster with the 140 speedo > and > tach.
