Re: [Amc-list] Re; 'Flexible Flyers' - Radial Tires. and shot springs

John,
Thanks for the alignment tips.
I have a local shop that is very competent and will help me make the car
handle correctly. I needed a starting point which you've given me.

Tom,
A further note here, I can't believe my springs in front are shot. The front
of this car is very stiff. New rubber in the upper and lower suspension
arms, sway bar links new, poly in the sway bar bushings, all new ball joints
& tie rod ends, new idler arm, and new shocks. I sandbalsted everything and
inspected all the parts, fresh black paint, nothing unusual at all came up.
The car has about 107,000 actual miles. I have never overloaded the car with
excess weight. I think if you look under any Javelin or AMX from 70 up
you'll see very little actual suspension travel in the compression mode
between the lower arm and the travel stop. I have not heated the springs nor
lowered the car in any way. John can you help with this one??

Armand
