Probably not unless you are enjoying the car at lap days at the local road course, or maybe using the engine in a tow vehicle. The oil usually is OK if the engine temp is OK. We of the road racing persuasion employ oil coolers to keep the oil temps below the oil breakdown range, but our engines run between 4000 rpm and peak rpm for 30 minutes to several hours.
