I'm ccing the list in case I screw this up. from the pics you have or should have the correct trans for a 65ish [that's plus or minus a year or two!] Torque tube car. The red paint on the bell is a good indication that it is around the 65 year range or previous. I'm not sure when they stopped the red paint on the six, but I believe it ended either at the end of 65 or 66 and indicated the 232??? You also show it with the "kickdown" cable. I'd say it will fit. I'd verify the converter and such is a match at time of changeover as they did change diameters of the starter ring at some point. Just match it all up as you go together to make sure it is the same size. I can't be 100% sure of function, but, I would expect this trans to fit a Torque tube 232/199 car. No promises, just a good solid guess! -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 " I was different before people dared to be different" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Arnaldo Mademilia <turbofish53@xxxxxxxxxxx> > > > > > From: turbofish53@xxxxxxxxxxxxx: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx: RE: [Amc-list] > Rambler transmission questionDate: Thu, 21 Jun 2007 21:59:27 +0000 > > > Here is some pictures of the transmission.> From: Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: > amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 21 Jun 2007 20:01:59 +0000> Subject: Re: > [Amc-list] Rambler transmission question> > Maybe someone here will break it all > down for you.> I'd need a picture.
