Bart, you're entitled to your opinion, but that's all I'm hearing -- no actual experience save the one guy who had problems with the crossmember. I hope he took that up with Bulltear and let them know what was wrong. Sounds like he modified it and made it work though. The guy who runs Bulltear has been into performance AMCs for a long time -- just in Jeeps. Not the same performance level as a 9 second dragster though. More like rock solid reliable power that will run a lot more than 1/4 mile at a time. I'm not slapping drag racers down here, just pointing out there is a big difference. The Bulltear oiling mods were designed for Jeepers and work from reading the forums and having a little correspondence with a few users. They aren't the only guy in town selling oiling mods for AMC V-8s. Unless you're racing all of them are bogus if you ask me, but that's just my opinion. All Bulltears parts are just about hand made -- small custom orders. That stuff costs. If it costs to much, look for alternatives. There just isn't a big enough market for specialty AMC parts to get production up and costs down. If it's not a stock replacement part it just about has to be hand made. Even the Edlebrock aluminum heads were made with stock replacement in mind as wel l as some performance gain potential. Just remember, that "jeep guy" was building hi-po AMC V-8s (for Jeeps) before you were out of grade school. ----------------- Date: Fri, 15 Jun 2007 01:11:21 EDT From: HOTROD74GremlinX@xxxxxxx Its obvious that there are a few Bulltear 'nutswingers' on here.As far as the 'fly by nite' oil mods. I've heard too many of these holy grail oil mod kits that have come out only to be nothing but a paperclip some used bubble gum and bailing twine at the cost of like 200$ to supposivlly 'fix the infamous AMC oil starve prob. Also Myself and other hard core AMC racers never heard of these hi po goodies that come from 'bulltear' and it pisses us off how some jeep guy can just chester in the Hi Po realm of AMCs and act like everyone should be eating out of his hand. Not every '12' sec car needs a 9 quart oil pan or 500$ oil mod or special adamantium engine cradle or a 300$ billet oil cap ect.. Give me a REAL WORLD tip and don't try and whore me something that I really don't need.what works for some Jeep may not work for some Javelin.
