this rear is the same as the '70-'80 hornet/gremlin/concord/spirit
rear. it'll fit, but you could have trouble wrestling even 6" rims on
and off with the wheelwell clearance.
it is easier to find than the '66-9 american amc20.

an inline 6 with a good header has a pretty nice growl all its own...
heck, my stock 199 with turbo muffler was enough to get the ricer boys
going!
