[Amc-list] 66 Ambo 232 compression problem

Well, I guess all good things must come to an end. My brother was over and I told him to hit the key a listen to how well the Ambo runs after sitting for 9 years. Oh oh!....crank no start.
Hmmmmm sounds real funny...like it's cranking real fast...kinda like when all the plugs are out and running a compression test. Hmmm maybe no compression.
Okay...here's the question...pulled all the plugs...did comp test an all cylinders exept # 1 ( a/c compressor in the way). Had 160 psi on 2 cylinders and 0 psi on 3 cylinders of the 5 I checked. Probably jumped time I thought as it normally happens when cranking not running I'm thinking. Valve cover leaks like crazy so I pull it just to make sure no broken camshaft and all rockers are moving.
What puzzles me is I would think if timing jumped all cylinders would be low or zero.
Thanx in advance for all who might respond, and all those on the site who often do so to the bennefit of all of us who read your remarks.
