Our 97 XJ Cherokee Sport is suffering from not completly dissengaging it's clutch. I was under it today and could not see a means of bleeding the system. I didn't have it jacked up or anything, so Maybe I missed it. Anyway, When we bought it I found a bunch of moisture "clots" floating in the reservoir and cleaned it out with a syringe and paper towells. It worked fine till recently when I noticed it would not fully dissengage. I figure it just needs bled. We're still driving it, but I'd like to get it fixed ASAP. I don't mind buying new parts as these appear to be original. 10 years is nothing to compalin about. I apologize for this Off topic question, but I need to figure this out before it gets worse or fails. Still more Off-topic, The Jeep is much nicer for me to drive now that I took the time to refit the seat. I drilled new mounting holes to move the seat bottom back on the tracks! I had to do some welding on one side to build a pocket. The other side was a simple redrill 1" forward to move the seat back. I was afraid it wouldn't be noticeable, but 1" was just enough to get my knee bone below the door pull! I had it apart as the seat frame on the bottom was totally fragged! It fell apart when I unbolted it! My wife said she didn't notice anything wrong with it, but one good jolt and she would have been in the back seat ! :] -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 " I was different before people dared to be different" _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
