Funny you should mention this now. I went through it just a couple of days ago for the Javelin. Basically, when I brought it home in April, I assumed I'd need to go through all the pain to make sure everything was "correct and clean" before taking it in to test. Called the AZDEQ office to find out what the test criteria were, and he told me about the new exemption. Called ADOT, and confirmed that Hagerty had indeed notified the state of classic car policy coverage. So, off to the local ADOT office for plates. The only hassle I had was that they looked at the declarations page on the policy and noticed the "A" rate code for "antique" and said he'd have to call the state office for confirmation, then he came back a few minutes later and said "says so right here at the top, Classic Car Insurance Policy, we don't gotta do anything else". (Hmmm, humpsters shouldn't be "antiques", '62 Americans are "antiques". Guess I'm getting old ;) So, got the really nice AZ "Historic Vehicle" red-on-copper plates which will look great on it. Life is good. Now if I'd just finish the brakes, fuel tank cleanup, and front end work, it can roll (and I have some incentive for gettin' it done ;) - - steve c. - - http://steve.c.home.mindspring.com/javelin/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFGVwLQMoVOBzZzyesRCCdiAJ0bUh0rrZZcrl41e2kqyLqqQW7auACcCxdW +9KNsa5P0LAvlCVeQpAQYjw= =yLyS -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
