The only choice I can find for a replacement set of gears for the T5 puts it at .81 overdrive ratio, this would put me knocking on the door of 2500 rpm at 70 with 3:42's leaving nothing leftover for faster cruising. I may try the 3:73 axle out of a S-10 first. The gearset for the T5 runs $360.00! S-10 rear axles in 3:73 gears can be had pretty cheap if I stick with drum brakes for now. No hurry, I'm not planningon doing anythign fast right now. It runs, it's good enough for now.... -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx > So in light of all the warnings about the .63 OD ratio being too high. > I have two choices. > Find a transmission gear set to bring the overdrive into line.
