OT so i'll keep it short.

we've batted electric power around some recently, and the prius even
came up.  embedded systems mag [cool motto: 'thinking inside the box']
does 'teardowns' of various prominent things, recently including an
xbox and playstation.  the prius is so complex their teardown is up to
6 parts so far...  this url is to an overview, with links to all their
other prius articles.  their analysis, in part: the drivetrain is very
conservative tech and engineering.
