Would a bell housing that was in/on a 343 in a CJ-7 be one I would need

Is that a no way in he--, or a no, because Jeep/Mustang std transmissions 
have a different bolt patterns at the front of the case? In which case, can 
the pattern be added to the bell housing, or some sort of adapter used?
