Awe shucks! Now I feel all warm and fuzzy! Hey seriously thanks for the compliment. I just spent the last 4 hours cleaning and waxing on the car. It's looking better then it has in quite some time. Honestly the detailing of an install of this magnitude really takes soem thought. What typically happens is someone throws the harness in. Screws clamps in the firewall and innner fenders and calls it good. I took the time lay it in and step back and really think "how is this going to not look like a hack job when it's done". I found that by using the 91 Wrangler harness I could tuck the efi harness up under the firewall to spring tower braces. It almost appears like they are made to go there! The map sensor is mounted directly to the firewall with two long screws going thru the map sensor, very cool how adaptable the map is to different mounting methods. I hate to give GM credit, but they did a really good job on the map. I discarded the factory Jeep bracket. The relay/PDC center and ECU I spent some time making custom metal brackets for both them so they sit level and not at some twisted angle. I had an extra harness so I could modify some things to move them if needed to, But I didn't move much. The air filter setup is from the same 91 Wrangler. I had to cut the tube at the Tbody end and section is to drop the tube down to clear the hood better. I also made a mount to bolt it to the A/C compressor cradle since I can get away with no A/C here in Wv :] When it is hot enough to need A/C I either put the windows down or drive something else! On the "C/clone" Things that were missed. Wire placement, too haphazard, not tucked under the braces. High Pressure P/S hose, they used an ill fitting one, best fit is found with a 95 ZJ hose. Air filter box, would have been far cleaner to delete the core support hose and rework the box. After all it's a HOTROD, The extra hose is for sissys! [Just kidding, honest]. They still would end up more cluttered then mine as it is OBD II and Has more foo-foo. BUt it could be done cleaner. There was supposed to be a car show local today. I didn't find out about it till last minute and didn't have time to prep the American so I wasn't going to go anyway. I'm glad I didn't get a chance to prep as it rained most all day. WOuld have been a real dripping show. I Hope there is another coming soon. I'm pretty much ready now. I wish I would have had the ability to get the interior done as I want to. But the carpet, new seat belts, operational 1/4 glass and floor insulation will have ot wait for now. Tomorrow I hope to knock apart the other 327 head. Sometime next week I'd like to get them into the shop for hot tanking crack check and evaluation to see what kind of valves I can go with. I've had several people tell me 1.94" & 1.60" valves will fit. Even if they are shrouded slightly what would the effects of going that far on the valves be compared to the cost of a regroudn cam? Both are likely to scrub some low end torque off, so I'm not sure I will go that far. Still thinking on that one. I wonder how Dave is coming wiht his 287?
