The reason that petcock is not in place already is that these are racing radiators, if they aren't there they can't fail or be damaged. That being said I agree that they are useful and we are going to look into adding them in the future. I don't really like the drilled/bolt solution that much, for me, pulling the hose and hitting a bucket has never been that much of an inconvenience, I do this so often with our racecars and the stuff that comes in that it really didn't hit me as being that big of a deal. I stand very much corrected and will look at things from a different perspective here on out. ~John -----Original Message----- From: amc-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:amc-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Swygert, Francis G MSgt 436 CES/CECM Sent: Monday, April 30, 2007 12:24 PM To: Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx Cc: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [Amc-list] PRD radiators Oh I agree with you -- no petcock is not the best idea, and I understand the disappointment. But price others -- over $100 more than what they got. For the savings, a self-tapping (or drilling) shoulder screw and nylon washer will fix the drain problem quickly, though not as convenient as a normal petcock. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
