[Amc-list] American master cylinder interchange

I ran a 64 Classic MC on one, and when that gave up I put a 68 Galaxie
(six cylinder drum brake car) MC on. I think the 63 is a Wagner. The 64
MC will work just fine, as will later ones. You might have a pedal to MC
rod length issue, but you can solve that. The main issue is the 1" bore.
I have a Ford Ranger MC on my car now, which is just under 1"
(0.94"???), and I have no problems with it. The closer to 1" though, the
better it will be.

Anyone know about 62-63 American brake systems? The '63 master
cyl is $200, and '64 is $20. Whatsa difference? Both are 1.00
bore. Any reason I couldn't substitute? I'm bending new steel
lines anyhways. Mount looks the same, pushrod is all I can
think of.
AMCyclopedia American interchange (thanks Matt!) alas covers
66-69 only.
