I wonder if that's why they moved the switch inside on the pedal late in the 60's? I know my 69 has it there. I think they may have made the move when they went to cable throttle control. I've never been a big fan of throttle linkage. Not after having seen a friends car that suffered a motor moutn failure and the throttle would bind at full throttle whne the engine lifted under aceleration! Kind of scary! I have a set up from a parts American I plan on using in the Ambassador. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Tom Jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> > On Fri, 27 Apr 2007, d stohler wrote: > > > my tsm for 62 classic only talks about a t.v. cable. > > the car im working on is a 61 classic wagon. it has a > > metal vacume line going to the trans, and a momentary > > switch. i got the wires and switch know where they go. > > i can not figure out how/where the swtich goes. there > > is a little tab on the throttle linkage that looks > > like it would be used to press the switch. but no > > matter how i try to set the switch bracket, nothing > > lines up right. does anyone have any pics to help me > > out? thanks. > > You can safely drive wthout the switch, first off.
