I just finished such a project on one of my Jensens (they originally used a nylon-ish fuel line front-to-rear) -- running a new 3/8 aluminum line and adapting it to the original 5/16 sender line. Not hard if you use AN fittings. I just used a brass compression fitting on the 5/16 sender line (compression on one end, pipe thread on the other), then a pipe-to-AN adapter on top of that. Flared the aluminum tubing with a 37-degree RoloFlare tool (those RoloFlare tools ROCK, BTW), another AN adapter at the fuel pump, and I was done. I'd bite the bullet and install a new fuel line front to rear. You will still need to drop the tank -- I bet the old sock filter is clogged. Order one for an early Mustang, it fits the 5/16" line just right. Use 5/16" brake line to run a new fuel line. You can get it in 5' lengths and use a coupler in the middle. You can get 3/8" aluminum line in rolls from any race/hot-rod shop, but it's hard to adapt to the 5/16" pickup line. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
