A set of Mikuni carbs from a GS1100 (or similar Kiehn's off similar sized bike) would be the cat's meow on the side of that Jeep four!! Now that would work, and just a relatively simple adapter needed -- a thick flange with either threaded holes or a short piece of tubing to mount the bike carbs (depending on how they mount). It would be a little harder to in crease the spacing between the carbs, but not to much. Some longer rods for the throttle and pieces of tubing for the fuel feed. You'd have to see a set of bike carbs and take them apart to ee what I mean -- most wouldn't be hard to space out more. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Tom Jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> > > On Wed, 18 Apr 2007, farna@xxxxxxx wrote: > > > The Jeep 2.5L will be to wide at the intake manifold though, > > like all modern fours. > > > What about... a carb conversion of the 2.5L!
